
Fibre is a new brand from Hua-Xia, a Croatian-Chinese company which imports textiles and clothing apparel from China and distributes them to Croatia and other countries in the region. The brand name and visual identity was created in collaboration with Petra Blazinic. More here...
The idea behind these designs was to create a group of souvenirs which communicates the hostel's bold brand identity and acts as a kind of 'uniform' that identifies its wearers in and around Split and invites reaction, interaction and communication with the public. The abbreviated form of the hostel's name G±B is used in the designs to create new abbreviations of words and concepts - all in the local Split dialect - that work in tandem on each specific souvenir. Thus, G±B, instead of GOLLY±BOSSY becomes GRADDELLAE±BEVANDDA on an apron, GRINTATT±BESHTIMAT on a T-shirt or GAVOONI±BALANTZANNE on a shopping bag. The Dalmatian words, like the hostel's name, are transcribed phonetically in English with the specific intention of creating humorous and often confusing encounters between tourists and the local population. Definitions in English of the various words and concepts appear on the items in separate small white texts. The end result is an attractive, useful, branded souvenir that encourages communication and educates tourists in the city's unique cultural and dialectical peculiarities. In 2009, the tobacco group TDR commissioned us to redesign their Respect brand. The new design communicates the brand's core values. It is characterful, confident, optimistic and modern. The bold typography and clean color scheme creates a distinctly urban packaging. The brand which was launched in 2010 was specifically developed for the Spanish and Czech markets and targets a broad audience. More here...
Protokol is a new electronic music event in club Sirup. At these evenings you'll hear everything from techno, minimal and postdubstep to progressive and dub techno. Protokol is a new platform for young upcoming dj's. The idea behind the visual identity was to communicate that this 'new platform' is a platform that is both constant and changing. The venue is always the same, but the dj's are different. Hence, the triangle and typography are constant, but the visual inside the triangle changes with each event, in this case, designed each time by another upcoming young artist. More here...
Welcome to our new website! Yes, it's a bit overdue and a lot has changed since our first site launch eight years ago. To begin with, Brussels moved to Zagreb, Amsterdam got his degree and London had a baby. The world's a different place now – bankrupt nations, shrinking economies, everyone scrambling for a piece of the pie. Even Ian and Luka are no longer roommates! The hardest decision, believe it or not, was trashing those lovely shots of the Sava River and rooftops of Battersea and Brussels. :( But, yes, we've moved on. Things are a bit tougher, a bit rougher, but the opportunities are still there. Tune in from time to time to see what we're up to. You can find us on Facebook as well.
